de feet boss, de feet

I'm getting shorter every day. Just making hay while the sun shines and getting a awful lot done. However, the side effect is me leaving a couple of trails as the day winds down. Butt-cheeks. There was a smiley I saw a while back that kinda looks like me around sunset!

Got the range top frame finished this morning. Not bad. I need someone else's opinion before I bolt it in place. Stripped down the old solar collector experiment (17 year old proto, left for bugs and Florida to eat) and stacked the debris, brought down the hung-up top of the sweet gum hurricane whatever-her-name-was tore off in '04 (fearful exercize, put Rima in the house, disconnected the LPG) successfully, filled the buggy with a major load of debris and hauled it to the dump then started reloading it for tomorrow, cleaned out 3 years of leaves (and one mouse nest, mama had 4 littles hanging on her teats as she fled!) out of the Land Cruiser, used the weedeater all over the place, then put 2 circuit cards in ferric cloride to etch before shutting down for the evening. If it was Friday, I'd make myself a green martini!

That sweet gum top will probably make enough firewood for the rest of the winter and since it has been dropped within 10 feet of the front door, my old bones get a blessing! The poor half-tree looks like hell unfortunately. My favorite pee-tree. Taught my first-born the fine art of watering the wilderness on that one. Wonder if he still gets the urge whenever he sees a sweet gum?!

Been listening to the Alito confirmation hearing? The internet is awful nice. Got the audio plumbed into the hi-fi which has outside speakers and all kinds of good stuff is available. Get to hear lots when the various noisy tools are stilled. Biden has GOT to be an embarrassment to those that have kept him in office for the last 34 years. Best term for him is bizarre. ...but then there's always that maggot-brain Kennedy. I got a kick out of hearing about his new kiddy book. His Portuguese Water Dog, Splash, has to be the best ho ho ho EVAR! Sheesh. The ol' boy really IS brain-dead. The folk in Mass keep electing him. Doesn't say much for them. Yes, I've spent a fair amount of time in Boston years ago. Do people actually live there who are not on: 1) the take, 2) welfare, 3) psycotropics, or 4) just enjoy the symphony. My last pass had me observing the taxation for home ownership was about the same as the mortgage payment, leased business property for really junky stuff was what would buy the same with 4 month's payments in Tampa, and it was just pure-dee old cold nasty in the wintertime. Boston is without a doubt the city with the worst drivers in the US. San Antonio had my previous #1, Boston exceeded it. Obviously suicidal. Can't say as I blame them! Yes, there are actually good people in Boston. Lots and lots of them. They don't vote for the 2 K's!

Got more and a photo, got sidetracked by a nice phone call. Time to start supper, shower off a deep layer of mung, and re-boot the 'puter (several presets are needed, don't ask, dull) so the 1988 high-res scanner will be recognized by XP and I can copy a 1884 penny postcard postmarked Wellborn, Florida before the ink fades forever.

Dems and Alito. Why the hell are the dems sooo concerned with Roe vs. Wade? Abortion will always be legal. Is it the preferred birth control method of the above? The hijacked photo below is a visualization of the DNC after Alito is finished with the gas attack. Oh, did you get the latest email spew from Governor Howard Dean, M.D.? It was more amusing than some of Iowahawk's stuff!
